the problem IS that I go to the folder with the samples and it crashes Windows, and also dumps a whole shitload of random-ascii-names files that can't be deleted to any and all OTHER drives attached.
Is this NTFS limitations, or my PC?

Could be a Windows problem, but I'm not sure. How much RAM do you have? That could be the issue.

8192 MB (or 8191 if you listen to the BIOS)

Just had to use CMD and not do a directory listing. tongue can't believe it took me this long to figure it out...

Re: Virus Collection as single archive (2010!)

When I downloaded this, all that was in it was "viruses-2010-05-18.out" totaling 44.5 GB.

Halp?

Re: Virus Collection as single archive (2010!)

the 'out' file is a tgz (tar, gz) ball.

When you have reversed all 250,000 samples in there (and posted the disassemblies) I will give you some more.

Panic.

But I downloaded this before and it was the ENTIRE collection. Plus, there was no "out" file.
There's something suspicious here...

You should feel bad for using utorrent.

SELECT * FROM `users` WHERE `login` = 'admin '#--' and `password`='d6d36367ad2384f71489707e6fff0879921b50f9';

Re: Virus Collection as single archive (2010!)

Hello.

I noted a large Virus collection here: http://vx-archiv.at/

Make sure to include all of them into this virus package.
Additionally, there might be some additional versios and info files.
Here is a random example:

In the following Video, AIDS.COM has a file size of 17297 Bytes. See: http://youtu.be/ZLAvfc9t900?t=2s
In a different demonstration video ( http://youtu.be/G252lZkydbQ ), AIDS.Com is only 13847 Bytes big. Additionally, some other files were bundled: AIDS.COM (13847 B); AIDS.NFO (13554 B); CRIS.REL (586B) and AIDS.SRC (5900B). FILE_ID.Diz (219 B) was generated by Windows 3.1 itself. Unfortunately, I do not know, where to download them. I wish I knew.

But on this page: http://vx-archiv.at/viruses-dos there are four AIDS and one AID virus. I am not sure, whether all of them are in the VXHeaven virus package.
Many other viruses may have versions, that are not included into the VXHeaven ultimate virus package. Please note that.

However, great thanks for this beautiful virus palace! ;-)
